Wulab Object Storage
Getting Started
If you already have credentials for accessing the storage, you can skip ahead to the Access section. If you need to generate new credentials to access the storage, read on:
- Access to Wulab Ceph Storage is limited to users in the
shm4038_0002
project. - Existing CAC users whose account was not created using the new CAC Portal must first log into the CAC Portal using NetID or CWID, whichever your CAC account is named after. Confirm in the Portal that you are a member of the
shm4038_0002
project. - You will need to install Openstack CLI client to generate new credentials for accessing the storage.
Generate New S3-style Credentials
If you don't already have an application credential for wulab, follow these steps to generate one:
- Log into the Wulab Horizon Web Console.
- Create an application credential to be used with Openstack CLI client.
- Install Openstack CLI client if you haven't done so.
- Generate a new S3-style credential using the Openstack CLI client.
Access
There are 2 ways to access the storage:
S3
You can use any S3 compatible client or SDK to access the storage via S3 protocol:
- Service URL:
https://wulab.cac.cornell.edu:8443
- Use the S3-style credentials you generated above or were given by members of the
shm4038_0002
project.
Globus
You can access the storage via the Wulab Object Storage
or cac#wulab
Globus collection. Follow the instructions for CAC Amazon S3 Connector but substitute "Wulab Object Storage" for the "CAC Amazon S3 Connector" collection.
